Basketball Season Ends

Our boys were defeated last night in the first round of Districts so they are now done with their season too. Jeremy is done with his basketball career.....*sniff, sniff*....can you feel my pain and sadness??!! I did shed quite a few tears last night and Jeremy shed a few of his own....not like him at all. He has played with this group of wonderful boys for many years and they all get along so well. I am going to miss watching him and the rest of the seniors play.

Awww...BUMMER!!!

We won last night so we're onto the next round of districts playing the Flandreau Indian School.

I bet that was sad to see the seniors done...

You have to get through all these "lasts" this year so you will be ready for the "firsts" coming up next year. Enjoy them all!

one door closes another opens...but it is always hard to close the door - I'm sure the friends he made on that team will be friends for life!

Sorry he lost. I can imagine how rough that night must have been for all of you.

Well done Jeremy! I'm sure there were many teams that wished they could have said they made it to districts. Good job! Congratulations on a wonderful year of senior ball. You have so much life ahead of you. I can't wait to hear about all of it!

Chris, I remember that same feeling when my Josh graduated! I sighed a sigh of relief for a respite in our schedule, but cried for the good times of sports, etc. I feel your pain!! *smiles*

Oh I forgot to tell you something. My cousin was up Sun. for lunch. While talking with his wife, I learned that she is an avid reader of your blog!! How cool is that? She never comments but loves reading about farm life. She was raised on a farm in Ohio. She told me that now that she is retired, she reads my blog daily and then jumps over to yours! I thought you might enjoy knowing that!

Transition is hard on all of you I know. We have to lay some things down to pick up other things and that is where you guys are at.

That is a bummer but he is on to bigger and better things. Can't wait to hear how God molds him and shapes him into the man he is already destined to be!!!!

Its so hard letting go, I know.

Sorry to hear about your son's game not turning out the way that you all hoped. You must go on with the new experiences that are going to come now. I do know your pain tho, as our sons went through the same.
Do enjoy all the up coming birthdays.
