New Tradition

I wanted to start a new tradition at my family Christmas this year. So....I bought a gingerbread house kit and had my kids and my niece and nephews all make one together. Nikki, Jeremy, Courtney, Nolan, Mitchell and the finished "house"!

The even got Grandma involved!

Where is Jeremy? Mitchell was on top of it and made sure everyone helped.

Mitchell had a great time! We let him mix the icing with an electric mixer and he thought that was pretty great. I didn't get a picture of it though because I was helping him at the time.

Next year I might buy one for the girls and one for the boys and make a contest out of it.

How's Chad doing? My houses never turned out like the picture on the box. Artistically challenged.

This is a great idea for a Christmas tradition. I love the idea of getting two and making a contest out of it.

That's a fun tradition. We did that with Graham crackers one year. What a mess! Hope your husband is feeling better.
Happy New Year!

Too cool!

I thought about doing the gingerbread house thing, but ran out of time. Maybe next year.

Great house and what fun! You know one year in sunday school Savannah did one out of grahma crackers, so they are smaller versions. You could try that. We didn't get one made this year!

My kids love doing those kits...except this year one of them asked if next year we can make one from scratch. UGH!!!! I'm hoping he'll forget in the next 11 months.
