Keeps Getting Better-NOT
2009 just keeps getting better and better for our family......NOT!
Jeremy accidentally backed into Courtney's car with the Suburban. There was no damage to the suburban, thank God, because I just got that fixed a few months ago after Chad hit a deer with it. Jeremy's comment right after doing it....."at least it wasn't my pickup"....atta boy!

Surgery
Chad had his appointment with the orthopedic specialist yesterday and he does have a torn rotator cuff tendon. They scheduled surgery for Monday....bummer! Life as we know it here will definitely be a changin'! He will be in a sling for 6 weeks with NO lifting and then light lifting after that. He will also be going for physical therapy for quite a while.

What a Week!
Jeremy's cardiologist appointment went well....everything looks good and he doesn't go back in for a year.
Chad had his MRI on Tuesday....one of the doctors called today and said that it showed a torn tendon and 2 tears in the muscle. He sees the specialist on Tuesday to find out what next.
Jeremy was honored in SF today at the 40th annual Pork Congress with a $500 scholarship which will sure come in handy for the next semester.
We have been busy hauling corn and beans out of the bins. Still have some beans to deliver and quite a bit more corn. Jeremy goes back to school next week and will be greatly missed. He is just such a great help to us, especially now with Chad laid up.
Basketball games the next 2 evenings....weather permitting. It is snowing....again! We are to get another 2-5 inches.

Christmas Sledding
Christmas....Noem style. Last year we started a new tradition on Chad's side of the family.....sledding before supper and gift opening. I had my camera along so I took a few pictures.
Jeremy's brave girlfriend Stephanie joined the group this year (wearing Courtney's coveralls....Courtney had cheer practice and wasn't able to go sledding).

Injury Update
Chad is still in a sling...part-time. He has an MRI on Tuesday and sees an orthopedic specialist next Tuesday. They are thinking it is something to do with his rotator cuff now. Bummer! He is feeling pretty restless now as he is not used to just watching or sitting around. Any prayers for him would be greatly appreciated.Jeremy goes to his cardiologist tomorrow for a routine echocardiogram for a heart defect he was born with. Hopefully we get good results on him tomorrow....prayers for him would be appreciated too.
Prayers for my sanity are greatly needed as I try to keep up with my own work plus Chad's work (the kids have been a great help too but Courtney goes back to school on Tuesday and Jeremy next week)!
