The soybean harvest is going well. We are really happy with the yields that we have gotten so far. We are about 1/3 done with the soybeans but need a good frost for us to be able to harvest the rest of them. We may switch over to some corn for now...we have some that is tipping over and want to get it out of the field before we have too much yield loss.

Recent Purchase
Wooohoo....I have and Ipod! I bought it on Ebay. Am I really stepping into the 2000's or what??!! Ebay and Ipod!! My son had to help me get it set up since I am "technologically challenged" as I have mentioned in previous posts but am getting better at this whole computer thing. Do any of you have Ipod's and if you do...when do you use it the most? I bought mine to listen to in the tractor and while walking on the treadmill.

It's a PARTY!
My mom turns 60 in a week so when she was back visiting us last week, my siblings and I threw her a surprise birthday party! We all had a great time!
Here is the "birthday girl" holding her cake....notice the shirt she is wearing... one of the guests at the party brought it and made her wear in for most of the evening.
Here are all of my mom's brothers and sisters that were at the party. There are 12 of them and only 4 were missing. Grandma is also in the picture.

Homecoming Parade
We lost the Homecoming game but it was a fun week for the kids (hectic for the adults). I did manage to get a few pictures of the Homecoming parade.
Kasey driving the King and Queen in Jeremy's car.
The cheerleaders (Courtney...wearing #44).
My niece Kassidy (on the left) and Amy's niece Lexy on the right.
The football players on the firetruck...Jeremy on the back #79.

Courtney ditched the cheerleaders and jumped on with her class float for the second trip down main street....most of the floats go through twice.

Marathon Volleyball Match
Last night we had the longest volleyball match and of course we had to be playing in Aberdeen....2 hours away! We ended up winning in 5 games so it did turn out good but wow what a long night. We didn't get home until 12:30 and then I had to help Courtney (well, I didn't HAVE to help her, I chose to help her)pack all of her stuff for the Homecoming festivities, parade and game so it was very late by the time we got to bed! I am exhausted today and dragging so it's going to be a very long day!
