Pearly Whites

Jeremy now has his pearly white smile back again.

For those of you not familiar with the story, he knocked 4 teeth loose during basketball practice in December. The one on top was basically just hanging there and the 3 on the bottom were pushed in flat. He collided head on at full speed with one of his teammates. Thanks to the wonderful work of Dr. Ryan Arnold positioning them back in place (and putting in several stitches) and many months of recovery, Jeremy got the wire and brackets off today! Dr. Arnold was able to save them all (although one died and he had to have a root canal done on it and possible 3 or 4 more due to the trauma). We are just thankful that he got to keep all of his original teeth. Jeremy is such a good kid, he hardly complained at all during the whole ordeal, which I am sure was pretty painful (it looked like it at times anyway)!

I broke my two front teeth when I was in the 3rd grade. Dentistry was not what it is today and I've spent Thousands of dollars and many painful hours in the dentist chair over the years. In fact I'm in one of those processes now. Glad they were able to save his.

I'm sure he is so glad to have that all behind him. What an ordeal! Just the thought of it makes me cringe!
