YIPEE!

The long days and hard work have paid off.....the crops are all finally in the ground....now we just need some timely rains and warm weather for a good growing season.
Chad is getting a few more soybeans ready to add to the drill for the last round.

Chad and Al (Chad's dad) adding soybeans to the drill. We farm with Chad's mom and dad (Al and Sharon)

The final round of soybeans.

Chad and me in one of the corn fields. The corn is coming up really good!

Now, I have to put a plug in for farmers....support your farmers....use ethanol and soy diesel and all other bi-products when possible.

Love the picture of you two. You amaze me that you have time to blog with all the hard work you do but I'm sure glad you do.

Susan....some things around the house get neglected because every spare minute I used to have was spent doing things in the house and now I am spending that time blogging. Courtney has been helping me with some of it.

My kids are really starting to laugh at me carrying the camera to the hog barns, field etc. and jumping on the computer every spare minute I have...I never used to sit at the computer. I cherish the friendships that I have made here and can't imagine not "checking in".

We'll be praying for rain!

I lost your comment on my post today when I made an edit! sorry--Thanks for coming by.

I'm glad you grab the camera. I used to live in a small town in the middle of wheat farming country in Texas. My family lived on a farm when I was born, until I was just a few months old. So my "farm living" life is limited. But, I appreciate hearing how other people live and have enjoyed hearing about all your work.Keep grabbin' that camera!

I'm feeling bad for the farmers that didn't get done. We'll all pray the sun comes out for them. Enjoy the peace that comes with a job well done! (you guys are so cute)

Ask and you shall receive, I hear it is raining up in that direction. My folks have had over an inch. So maybe you want it to stop now? Or maybe you didn't get quite as much as Norden. I like seeing the pictures.
