Achievement Days

Achievement Days have begun. The kids entered their projects last night and were interview judged on them. I had planned on taking pictures, even had the camera there but my job was to write comments for one of the judges and I didn't have time. Jeremy got 6 purple ribbons and 1 blue ribbon and Courtney got 8 purple ribbons and 3 blue ribbons. Today the foods, horticulture and cut flowers get entered and judged and we didn't do any of them so......the kids and I are heading to SF with my good friend Laurie and her kids to do some school shopping. Yippee....a day of fun....I hope. With 4 kids along, you never know but usually when I do things with Laurie, we have a blast! Here's to a day of Happy Shopping...hip, hip hooray!

Congrats of the projects guys!!!

I'm done with the school shopping - YAY!!!! I took Kale one day and Nikia the next day. It just works so much better to put all my attention on one at a time. Then I treat them to a meal out at the place of their choosing. I love the one-on-one time with them. Plus, I think they feel more special that way.

I forgot that my favorite part of achievement days was the premium check. They still do that don't they? More purple ribbons=more money!

Hope you have fun shopping.

I'm waiting for pictures from the alumni reunion!

This brings back so many memories of my days in 4-H! Congrats to your kids on doing so well. Have fun shopping! I used to take our kids on their own and we'd have a day together just the two of us. It got tricky with 4 kids - DH didn't think 4 days of school shopping was a necessary thing!

Congratulations on the ribbons, kids! Hope you all have lots of fun on your shopping trip. I love shopping with my teen daughter, and the other two are getting much better as they get older.
