It's Raining it's Pouring......

No, the old man is not snoring...he is out working in the rain.

We got a good rain on August 3rd...after a dry July (no rain whatsoever in July).....and now it keeps on a rainin'. I can't believe how the grass has turned green again and is growing like crazy....which is a good thing because that means the crops are doing well too. Hopefully the rain was not too late and we have a bountiful harvest.

Anyway, the reason I am writing this post....I watched the news this morning and saw all the devastation from flooding going on in the U.S. (and Mexico). Some of it not too far away from us. Iowa is expecting another 3-6 inches and they are already flooded. I think there are lots of people out there that need our prayers. Are any of you in the flood areas or close to them?

It's pretty bad in some areas isn't it. Minnesota got hit hard too. Even some deaths from the flooding. YIKES!!

I've been singing that song "I love a rainy night" all morning. But I'll quit, cause you're right, we've had enough for now.

I heard about all the flooding in Iowa and am kind of concerned because my parents live down there. Hopefully they aren't experiencing any of it. I'll say a prayer for all those effected by the flooding!

I can't believe how much its rained this month. We needed rain so bad for most of the summer so it's very welcome! I'm getting tired of the dreary weather though..I need some sunshine :)! I think we can all stop doing the rain dance now..he he!!

Have a great day!

It is so crazy how the weather changes things so fast!! I am so glad that we don't have any flooding going on right now. Poor people that are dealing with this!!

I am not complaining but it would be nice to see the sun for a full day now with no rain!

I'm glad it's finally started to rain, but it sounds like enough is enough!! I heard a sad story about a woman and her child being electrocuted as they were waiting for a bus in the flooding... people definitely need our prayers...

I love a rainy night too! I love it when it rains all weekend and you can just watch movies and play games for a change.

One area of Oklahoma is a disaster zone but it is in the SW part of the state and we are NE. Having our daughter survive Katrina my heart and prayers go out to all those who are suffering so.

It really has been a crapy month for minnesotans with the flooding and falling bridges. Reminds me to be counting my blessings EACH DAY!

As parched as we are here in MS, I'm so thankful I'm not having to deal with a flooded house. I can stand dead grass and flowers, and even pay more for groceries in the long run because I still have a house with a healthy family.
I've even been thanking God for leaving that high pressure right on top of us the past week, so that hurricane Dean couldn't come up the Gulf Coast. We're still trying to get out of Katrina days!
God is good no matter the weather!

It's really been a dry summer here in Missouri, and a big storm just rolled through, which is a good thing for us. :)
