Potluck

We have a potluck tonight before the Fall Sports Awards (for football, fb cheerleading and volleyball....letters and awards). I have about 2 things I readily rely on to bring....Calico Beans or Cheesy Hashbrowns. I have tried a few new things in the last year but always end up back at the same 2 things. We have several potlucks coming up and I am looking for new ideas....I am hoping that a few of you can help me out. I really like to use my crock-pot because then I can get called away for a few minutes (that's what hubby always says and it turns out to be hours) and I don't have to worry about it. Any suggestions???

Crock Pot is the way to go - beef, beans, a few taters, can of corn, onions...

I'd really like the recipe for the cheesy hashbrowns!! Ya, I know...I'm not much help! I love bringing meatballs....LOVE meatballs!! I have a great recipe for sweet potatoes but that's more of a thanksgiving/Christmas sort of potluck dish eh?

I took tater tot casserole in my crock pot, to an FCCLA potluck at the high school last week, and came home with an empty crock. So easy to make too.

I love potlucks.
All the things mentioned sound wonderful.
Seems like when we go to potlucks I've taken either goulash or spaghetti or lazagna type hotdish. Something I know my kids will eat.
If you're talking crockpot...one of our crockpot favorites is chili or BBQ.
OR how about little smokies in the slow cooker. That's another fav of ours. We love the layered dips with chips too.

I'm a day late, but I hope you had fun and figured out a new fun dish to take...even though the cheesy hashbrowns sounds awesome;o)

Looks like you got some great suggestions. I would also be interested in your recipe for the hashbrowns. Sounds pretty good!
