Blood Drive

Jeremy is a National Honor Society member at school and they are sponsoring a Blood Drive today. The Blood Drive is one of Jeremy's favorite volunteer activities! He will be helping out with it today and hubby and I will be going to give blood!

That's awesome!

It reminds me of when my son was in boot camp and they had a blood drive. He has never done well with blood and I was so surprised when he told me that he gave blood. He said- Mom, I did it so I could get the cookie! They hadn't let them have sweets in weeks!

Crazy kid.

Your son is doing it for a much more worthy cause! :)

Great to see your kids involved in such a worthwhile cause! And Honor Society - I bet a College Scholarship is around the corner! How is the nephew?

That is great. I donated once at my school and the guy did not know what he was doing. I was laying there with tears in my eyes and he told me I wasn't hurting. HELLO dude! I am crying. LOL. But I do think it is great your ds does this:)

I've always wanted to donate blood BUT have spent the last year getting tattoos and piercings. Also, I refuse to donate blood as long as certain members of our society aren't legally allowed....if my best friend is discriminated against and can't donate blood based purely on his sexual orientation, then I refuse to as well. It's just how I feel on the subject...*shrug*

I can't donate blood anymore either. We were told when we returned from Desert Storm that we were no longer allowed to give blood until further notice--it's been 16 years and I still haven't gotten an all clear. Kinda makes me wonder why.

Good for you. I can't do it, the thought of needles makes me pass out. I am so bad that when I got the flu shot, they made me sit down and drink a glass of water first. You go girl!
