Is anybody else counting down days to Christmas??
I know it's supposed to be a "kid" thing to count down days but every year I find myself doing it! I love giving people gifts....love getting together with family and most of all I love celebrating Jesus' birth! What a gift he was and still is to us!!!!!
Ok...to be totally honest, some of the reason for the countdown is to make sure I am getting everything done and in order for Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. I had trouble sleeping last night, going through all the things in my head that still need to be done. I don't have that many days left and still have lots to do...a little wrapping...a little baking...xmas dinner meal planning and grocery shopping....rooms to get ready for overnight guests. I don't know why I am worrying...it all seems to get done in time every year but hey, that's me....a worry freak!

No worries here. We generally travel to see family and it's so much easier than having them here. This year we may go to IL if the weather holds out.
It will all get done though, as you said, so just try to enjoy the process.
I'm a worry-er too. Yesterday I realize that my family's dinner is this Sat...still working on gifts. Like photo calendars...I don't think they'll be done in time...why didn't I start earlier? UGH
But, I'm sure we'll both get everything done!
Right now I'm counting down the days until my vacation from work (1.5 days btw)...after that I'll be counting down the days until Christmas!!
Crap. You just shocked me into reality that Christmas is in ONE WEEK! And now I'm about to go make a list and make sure I've got everything done. Please excuse me...
My mind is whirling with everything I think I need to do but when I went to make lists yesterday, it didn't seem like there was so much! I've pretty much abandoned the sewing projects. I'll go back to them in January and be ahead for next year, I guess!! Enjoy these days - too soon it will be over again! Happy Holidays!!!
My checklist is complete, but I still have this nagging feeling that I've forgotten to do something.
I am a kid too...I love Christmas and everything about. I LOVE giving gifts to people (not the point of Christmas but I LOVE it anyway!!)
I'm with you. I had to get gifts shipped to three different states. I was in a bit of a tizzy until I got them sent off.
My biggest concern is wondering if I can find all the gifts I've been hiding. Next on my worry list is getting us all packed to head off to SD. Packing a family of 9 with gifts is no small feat.
I am almost ready. We are baking all day Saturday and then I just need to get my groceries for the Christmas meal. Have a great Christmas!!!!
I like to count down the days too! I just enjoy spending our time with all our family and celebrating Jesus' birth!
I have so much to do yet too (cleaning, baking, wrapping)..but I'm taking it all in stride!

I love Christmas but try not to get too worked up. I try to start early with everything and do a little bit here and there. I have a horrible headache right now because we just got done with our daycare Christmas party. And it's not over yet...
