My sweet son drove to Watertown (over 30 miles away) last night after basketball practice and 4-H.....in a near blizzard........
To pick up some of these for his "friends"!
He has some girl friends (he does not have a steady girlfriend....they are strictly friends) that have never gotten chocolates for Valentine's Day. So....being the gentleman that he is....decided to change that for them! He came home with 9 boxes of chocolates.
His comment to me last night was "I hope I make their day". If I was a teenage girl that had never received chocolates for Valentine's Day....I think that would make my day!

What a sweet young gentleman you've raised!! :)
Did he learn his "moves" from his dad?
That makes MY day and he didn't even buy ME any!
HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY!
did he remember to pick one up for his dear mom?
Amber....um, no, he did not learn it from his dad....his dad usually forgets
Heidi....no he didn't get his mom one. I was starting to get upset by that and then realized that it will probably mean more to these girls and he knows I am trying to watch my calories.
What a gentleman and sweetheart you have raised.
Susan

He'll have ALL the girls in school swooning after this! How sweet that he did this to make their day.
One day, he is going to make an awesome husband. That's great!
Just found your blog -- I was looking for fellow farm wives! I hope my boys turn out to be so thoughtful. That made me smile.
That is SO sweet. You have raised a terrific son.:) Happy Valentines Day.
What a lovely thing to do! You sure have raised a thoughtful young man! Happy Valentine's Day!
What a sweet young gentleman you have raised! I hope the girls really appreciate it!
Hello Chris, Only a farm boy would drive in a snow storm to make a few girl their day. Look out, he may have a steady girl after this. How sweet He is. Not bad looking either.
Love and Hugs,
Joyce
S*W*E*E*T!! Awesome story.
Please share the girls' reactions.
I knew I liked that boy! What a thoughtful thing for him to do for his friends. He will be a great husband someday. I know. I know. You hope it is many, many days away! I'm just sayin'--someday!
He is so thoughtful. I think I remember his dad driving in blizzards to do things for a cute 'sour' girl. So maybe he forgets now...he's got you...no need to impress you anymore!
That is too sweet!!! You are raising a rare breed of men! Keep it up! His future wife (I know you don't want to hear that now!) will thank you!
So very cool! What a thoughtful guy! I hope the girls gave him the reaction and appreciation he deserved for that.
What a sweetie! You are raising one great man!
that made me tear up...tell him I'm proud of him...

I'm with ambey kay. He must have learned those "moves" somewhere. lol Good for him, being considerate and thoughtful are important.
oh how sweet! He sounds like a thoughtful caring young man!
My son called me yesterday to wish me a happy V. day. He had flowers delivered to a friend at college up in Tennessee. They are "just friends" as well, but he wanted to encourage her as she is far from home. I love hearing about these good deeds from our kids. We see so much selfishness and garbage each day, but not enough emphasis is put on the positive things some of our great kids do. Thanks for sharing this with us Chris.
AWWWWW!
O HOW SWEET OF THAT BOY TO GET YOU CANDY
