Poor Jeremy!

Ok, I am feeling a little guilty about my last post! I was so excited for Jeremy to start driving the semi to town.....but now I am kinda feeling bad for the poor kid (I know he's not a kid anymore, he's 18 but he will always be my kid). He took 2 loads to town yesterday and ended up waiting in line for over 2 hours both times. Then, first thing this morning he takes off with the semi and gets about 10 miles from home and a guy in a pickup starts flagging him over....
the brakes on the trailer are locked up and are on fire. The guy grabs a fire extinguisher and puts out the fire but while they are both under there putting the fire out, the tire blows.....right in Jeremy's face! Our mechanic came and looked at it and it was fit enough to drive to his shop so Jeremy drove it to the shop where it still sits right now, being worked on. In the meantime.....Jeremy's ear is really bothering him from the "explosion" so I took him to the doctor to make sure it hasn't ruptured his ear drum. The doctor couldn't see the full eardrum (he had a little wax build-up) but could see the middle which is where they usually get a hole so she is pretty sure he will be ok. His ear is still ringing and feels funny and if that continues on for the next week, he will have to see a Ear-Nose-Throat specialist to see if there was any hearing damage but we are pretty hopeful that he will be just fine.
You just never know what is going to happen around here!

Oh my goodness! Poor Jeremy, I hope his hearing is okay!!!! That must have been a scary experience! I can't imagine driving one of those things in four lanes of traffic. Yikes!

I hope things turn out alright with Jeremy's ear. But congrats to him on learning how to drive the semi!

So sorry to hear about Jeremy. What a learning experience for Him. I am glad He is OK and I pray the truck is not in to bad of shape.

We are getting bad storms, but where our farm is all we are getting is rain. We missed hail and wind, which is good. Hubby has clints with hail damage in corn and beans.

Love and Hugs,
Joyce

Poor guy! I hope his ear isn't damaged. That fence building sounded like an adventure. I've learned when my hubby is doing a big job like that - I need to ignore most of his words. He has the temper thing going for him too. :)

Now that is a bad day. Poor guy!!! I hope everything turns out fine and he doesn't have any damage to his ears. He should get some extra attention from his mom because lets face it, we are never too old to have our mom love on us! Keep us posted on how things go.

OH NO!! That's awful! I hope he feels better soon. I hate when it feels like I have water in my ear. I couldn't imagine the ringing...poor guy!

Praise God he is safe. It could have been so much worse. No, we never know what is going to take place the next minute. I'm so very sorry.

Sorry to hear about the bad lucky your son had. Our oldest drives truck and he had the same experience. I hope that his hearing is okay. It took my son about 2 wks to get rid of the ringing.
Best wishes to Jeremy
Have a nice weekend.

I hope the ear quits ringing soon. Sometimes the specialist is the only way to go.

Thank goodness he is ok! He is so very fortunate. Tires are dangerous, they can really do some damage! I hope the ringing stops soon. Good thing the other driver came to his aide!
