The Sun is Finally Shining!

Getting lots of stuff done around here! The sun was finally shining long enough for us to get the hay cut, some spraying done and corn hauled to town. Jeremy got 7 loads of corn hauled to the elevator yesterday, he is a huge help to us here on the farm! Chad sprayed all day yesterday and I hauled water to him. Al (Chad's dad) finished cutting hay the day before yesterday, just waiting for that to cure so it can be baled. It finally feels like we are catching up (as much as you can be caught up on the farm). Chance of storms all week so hopefully we can get lots done again today.

Wish I could send you some of our upper 90's (heat index over 100) sunshine and heat. It would dry up that hay in a minute!!! Glad you are seeing some success.

I am glad you're moving right along on the farm. I just want the sun to shine more than 1 day in a row...

~sigh~

You sound like us. We don't have hay, but John is spraying and spreading compost. Around here it is raining everyday so between showers we try to get something done. Good luck with you hay.

Love and Hugs,
Joyce

Now that I'm back around more farming communities especially my husband's hometown, I can relate a little more to your life on the farm. The other day we had a nasty hailstorm that wiped out some of the farmers' crops. It's such a bummer to hear that. We definitely need the rain but not the hail!
Thank God for sunshine!

You wouldn't want to swing that sprayer down to my house, would you? ;-D
