Flooded

Saturday and Sunday we had another storm front that went through, dropping several inches of rain upon us and some hail too. The good news is that we did get our wheat planted on Thursday and Friday but it will be awhile before we get back into the field to get the corn and soybeans planted. My father-in-law's pasture just south of his house is totally under water. He usually has some of it under water in the spring but this year it looks like a lake. Hopefully God will bless us with some sunshine this week so we can get back to planting and so the cows and calves (and hubby) will be happier too.

Hi Frazzled Farm Wife! Glad to "meet" you.

I hope your family isn't too frazzled right now with all the rain we've been having (I'm in SD too). I have been praying for a little more sunshine, not only so I can get out of the house with my son, but also so my tulips finally bloom. I'll pray for a good planting season and good crops too.

Thanks for commenting on my blog. Pop by whenever you're in the "neighborhood."

Glad you were able to get some of the planting done. They are predicting storms & warnings for our area, Oklahoma, tomorrow. Never nice or fun.

We got a couple inches too, which affects my husband's work also. I think we are all ready for those nice, dry sunny days now, until the crops are all in the ground, at least.

Did you see our bin blew away? It must have been quite a weekend. It is so wet...there was water everywhere from Fargo to home. Hope the calves stay healthy.
