Signs of Spring

The first track meet of the season for our high school was held yesterday. It was a little windy and got a little chilly towards the end but definitely a sign that spring if finally here. Our track team has struggled with numbers the last few years but there seemed to be a few more out this year which is great. They have also moved a few 7th graders up to compete which is good too, they seem pretty talented. Both of my kids participate, Jeremy in Shot Put and Discus and Courtney in Shot Put, Discus, 400 meter relay and the 800 meter relay. Hopefully the spring weather hangs around so we can enjoy the rest of the season without freezing!

Hi, I found your sight through Amy's. There was a track meet in our town yesterday, also. As I drove by I had two feelings. First, I was glad I did not have to be at all those sports events in all kinds of weather, and at the same time, sad that my daughter has graduated and I did not need to be there. Sounds like you have an active life between the farm and the kids!

I loved your comment that you left on my blog about shopping and your daugther's size. That made me laugh out loud!
I feel that same way...even though my girls are little. Their clothes are way more fun to buy than my clothes, plus everything looks cute on them!
Thanks for stopping by!

Wow, that brings back memories - I can remember a few track meets in school when it was flurrying - every spring I think back to those track practices and meets. I ran the 100m, 200m and 4x100 relay. Good times and many great memories - as I'm sure your children are finding out too!

Welcome to the world of blogging. Hope you are having fun. I can so relate to having your kids teach you all you know.
I also know all about sitting through sporting matches in the spring and freezing :)
My days of high schoolers are almost over *tear* Enjoy your kids while you can. Time passes quickly.

Track meets are so fun when the weather cooperates. Hopefully the sun will shine for the rest of the season. School is winding down quickly!
