Today's Description

I have 2 words that describe today....HOT and DRY! It has been so hot that we have had to get up really early to get our things done to try to beat the heat of the day. It was already so hot by 9am that is was almost unbearable. We quit by 11:00 and are going back out to work some more pretty soon. It gave us a good chance to get some paperwork and other things in the house caught up and the kids finally finished a few 4-H projects (yeah)! I however did not get any cleaning done which really needs to be done too. Oh well, it always waits for me.
If you wouldn't mind, we really could use your prayers for some much needed rain. The crops are really starting to suffer.

The weather this year seems to be all off balance. I will pray for rain for your area.

I will pray for your rain. If/When you get all the rain you need, please send some to us. Several places near us had rain/storms today. We just can't get a drop.

hasn't it been a weird summer? where I am in Texas we have not even had a 100 degree day yet... usually we've had many... and we've had too much rain. Craziness I tell you... but I can't complain... although I will do a rain dance for you all... (o: ~ Kim

Wasn't yesterday unbearable?! At least today is suppossed to be a little cooler! Didn't you get any rain yesterday morning? It was pouring down so bad here in town that I couldn't even go for my morning run. Darn.

Chris, be sure and read my blog today. I answered the 3 days to change question. Thanks for posting that. It really gave me pause to think. Amazing how real some things are in our lives even after years, in my case, and yet the raw emotions surface.
((hugs))

Jennifer...no we didn't get any rain, the storm fell apart right before it got to us. Seems to be the trend this year.

I agree. Hot and dry.
UUGGHH!
At Derek's baseball game Monday night we could hardly breath. Everyone was dripping sweat.
Megan said I didn't know it was going to rain. (It was so cute!)
She thought the sweat dripping off her face was rain.
