My kids went back to school today. I have mixed emotions about it....I love spending time with my kids and having them around but their fighting was starting to drive me NUTS! I think they were both ready to get back into the school schedule too. Summers just seems to be CRAZY around here.
Another reason I have mixed emotions is because Jeremy is now a SENIOR....I don't know if I am ready for this but I guess I have no choice but to accept it and enjoy it with him. I really don't feel old enough to have a child that is a senior...I guess that's a good thing.

Ok, one really good thing about school starting is that the kids' games start too. The first football game is this Friday...I am so excited! Jeremy plays and Courtney cheers so it's fun to get to watch them both at the same time and they both love to participate. Courtney's first volleyball game of the season is next Thursday. So....here's to a safe, happy, healthy and injury-free season and school year.

Happy and healthy - AMEN!!!!
I'm already excited about Friday too - can't wait. See ya there.
I hope your kids have a great 1st day back!!
I can't wait for Marissa to play in school sports and to go and watch!! (no I don't want her to grow up too fast)
I hope your kids had a wonderful 1st day of school! I bet you are excited for Friday! How fun! I miss the days of football games..someday I'll be experiencing all that again I'm sure (have to have a kid or two first to do that..he he)!
Have a great day!

Wow I am excited to hear the results of the game!!
I just sent my oldest off to college and beyond! I am like you, and don't feel old enough, but I guess I am.
It has turned out to be very exciting, because he is really having a wonderful time!
What a busy week! I just love football, and all that it brings...I just wish it would bring cold weather this year! :) We sat out last Friday and watched our favorite high school's football game in shorts-wrong, just wrong...:)
And, I hope both of your kids stay healthy and whole, and excel in their sports! I'll be excited to read how they're doing.
HOW FUN that you get to watch both Jeremy and Courtney at football games!!! Enjoy your school year with the kids!!
Senior year - what a great adventure that will be for you and your son:)
I got 3,, Sr. Jr. Sophmore... scarry
Sounds like a fun year in store.
By the way Chris, thanks for your sweet comment on my blog today. Just remember one thing, it's not me challenging you it's Jesus. He is the one that continually prods and challenges us. Praise God He does. I don't want to stand still in my walk with Him and I know you don't either :o)
I heard someone once say "You can't tread water with our walk with God. Either we are moving forward or going backward". I know I've had spells of going backward but fortunately it's always been 2 steps forward and only 1 step back. I want to keep it that way!!!!

Wow. A senior. What an exciting time for you guys.
Sending all my best to you and your family for a wonderful, "safe, happy, healthy and injury-free" school year.
Hold on to this precious year of memeories with your son! The lasts are coming and you do not want to miss them. I sat at football games, and basketball games, tennis matches, and so on... Thinking this is the last time I will see my son play on this field, or this sport in front of a huge crowd. Tears came, the good, thankful kind that remind you how lucky you are to have had all the wonderful years with this child. The knowing it goes to fst, and the deisre to hold onto the moments and not let them slip by too quickly!
Hugs!
Amy
I hope Jeremy has a great senior year. It goes so fast doesn't it?
So are the football games greatly attended? Here people tape their blankets to the bleachers two days in advance to save seats. It is nuts! Do you have to do that?
Now that is cool-- going to a game and watching both of your kids participate at the same time. Sounds like a blast.
You described my EXACT feelings about back to school time. As much as I craved summer when the school year ended, I am now craving the routine and schedule (and yes, less fighting amongst siblings) that school time brings. I love both!
I know my oldest is only starting kindergarten, but I know he'll be a senior in no time! Here's to a great school year and exciting sports season!!
It makes me sort of sad, I guess, that my daughter is a senior this year. It just seems like yesterday that I was walking her into her kindergarten class... Our kids are growing up!
