Family Fun?

Believe it or not...we actually have quite a bit of fun while we are working on the barn (and other projects too). We are kind of a weird family and love to laugh and joke around and have silly fun. I thought I would take a few pictures this morning while we were out working ( I took serious pictures to show that we actually do work too).Courtney cutting with the Compound Miter Saw...ok, it looks dangerous but believe me, she has been trained by us very well to use it safely.
Jeremy working away on the support beam.
Chad working on the purlins.
Me working on the purlins....don't you just love the "back view"?
Me again! Not sure if I like this view much more!
The cows came up from the pasture behind the barn to get a drink and were a little curious.
The calves were even a little curious...they are usually pretty nervous around us.
The Bull was the first one brave enough to come and get a drink.
The progress that we have made so far....still a long way to go.

If families can't have fun together, who in the world can?

I'm so impressed!! Your kids are learning skills and developing a work ethic that few kids do, nowadays. (My dad teaches high school and the stories he tells...) I love that you have fun while you are working. The family that builds together, stays together!!

I don't think that it is too corny to have fun and enjoy your family. I think it is important!

BTW the progress is going fast, I am so impressed!

Very impressive!! I love that you guys all work together and get along so well - it says a lot about the family you are.

Maybe I missed it in another post, but I'm just curious as to what you will use this part of the barn for.

Amy...we tore this part down because it was in really bad shape and are just rebuiling it. We use it mostly during calving.
