Volleyball

Last night was the first volleyball game of the season. The girls won 3-2 in some really close matches. Courtney is # 12 and plays hitter in the front row, setter in the back (we run double setter). Here are the girls right before a match...they also do this after time-outs.
Serving
Bumping
Setting
Setting again.
They played so well as a team. Courtney started out pretty "shaky" (it was her first varsity game...she said she was really nervous) but she ended up having some really nice sets and some awesome hits!
My friend Laurie took the pictures for me...I was too into the game. Thanks Laurie!

I wish they had volleyball as an organized sport when we were in school.

But then I probably would have been a benchwarmer (do they have those in volleyball?) watching you play just like when I tried basketball!

(You've been on my mind/heart a lot lately....everything o.k. there?)

Go Courtney!

Enjoy these next years, Chris! They go by in a heartbeat!

Seeing your kids playing reminds me of my days at basketball games--and track meets==and soccer games, ...

Now it is grandchildren playing soccer! And the beat goes on...

Good pictures...and good job Courtney. She has the first game out of her system and she will be good to go. I was a setter too so I am cheering Courtney on!! Good luck this season!

What fun - we've had a taste of fall weather this week and it always makes me think of fall sports!

Volleyball was not a sport I did well at, being just 5'1.5" - and everytime I played it, my arms got terribly bruised because I bumped with my thumbs together - and it hurt a long time afterwards. I do enjoy watching it though - my niece plays!!

Enjoyed getting caught up on your posts. You sure are busy with your farm but it must be a really rewarding way of life. Glad you put in at least 10 of your 100 things, nice way to get to know you better. Go Courtney!! I played V-ball when I was in high school 100 years ago and loved it. One of my friends here in town coaches for the local college so I catch a game occasionally. That poor bull! What will they do with him? I hope they get him to the vet soon.
