We began corn harvest several days ago. My father-in-law always runs the combine but he and my mother-in-law went to a concert in SF on Wednesday night. Jeremy got to run the combine for the first time. I was running the grain cart beside him and it was kinda fun watching him up there in that "big green machine". I couldn't help but take a few pictures of him.
This one I thought was really "cool"...if you look hard you can see the moon coming up right underneath the auger that is sticking out.

Oh the kids are really growing up!
I think that the photo could win some awards...great shot!
How are the crops doing in your part of the United States? Around our area I have heard corn going at 190 bushels per acre to down to 130 busels per acre. We are so surprised since we had a time in the early summer of no rain. It is always good to see a son join in the activities of the farm. The pictures are great.
That last picture is fantastic! It must be really peaceful out there especially at night:)
You guys are so busy!!! When do you find the time to blog?! Have a wonderful weekend Chris!!!
Wasn't it beautiful out Thursday night. Most of the time I left my lights off - I could see better by the moon light than the tractor lights.
I like the corn. Couldn't quite handle the slaughter :o)

Great pics. The 2nd one was really cool! Tonight we had a huge full orange moon. I tried to take some pics, I do not know if they will turn out or not! Thanks for sharing!

Love those pictures! I skipped the pig butchering, but I'm sure it was a lovely post...
