Winter Trials

Winter has barely begun and we have already had to pull Courtney out of the ditch! This was the first time she has gone in the ditch in the winter (did it once in the summer right after she started driving). It scared her pretty good so hopefully she is a little more cautious now!!! She also learned to start wearing winter "apparel"!

The girls ended up with a victory last night. It was Courtney's first Varsity game that she got to start and she was really nervous! We have a very young team this year...we start 1 senior and 4 sophomores. The team looked very good and they all played GREAT!

Great updated pics of your kids!

Ah, the fun of winter driving. Hopefully that's the only spin-out of the winter season. Glad to hear everyone is okay!

Tell Courtney congratulations on her first start. Good luck on a good year. It will get easier. My husband and I go to the girls and boys games from our local High School and they are doing better than expected.

Yay for the win! :)

As for the ditch... I take it that it must be snowing in your neck of the woods? We haven't had our first snowfall here yet.

When I was about her age, I got stuck 7 times in one weekend. Not in the ditch though. Sorry she went in, but glad she learned the lesson on clothing.

Congrats on the win Tuesday! Wish I could wish you luck tomorrow night, but I will be rooting against y'all. We've got a new coach, so it will be interesting to see how that goes.

How scary to go in the ditch.

I'm not a big fan of winter. I don't like the snow nor the icy roads.

Glad she wasn't hurt. I'm glad I don't have to do much winter driving around here. I probably would not go out of the house!!!!

Way to go Courtney! Think about how strong your team will be in two years!

I think that was the best game to start out the season. It was a pretty easy win so it allowed the girls to work out any first game jitters and nerves. I got tears in my eyes watching Courtney and Natasha being announced in the starting line up - the joy in their faces was like "Yes, we've made it!" Courtney did very well. I don't know how many rebounds she grabbed and put back up but it was alot. She really did a great job. I loved watching them play!!!!
