Fun with Pigs

Loading pigs with Frank and Laurie at Laurie's site was actually alot of fun. It makes the time go by more quickly when having fun while doing the work! We laughed at each other alot.....and had a blast. Frank got taken out by a pig and landed on the um...."messy" floor and we got a really good laugh out of that one. He is new to the pig loading and everyone ends up on the floor sooner or later....his just happened to be sooner than later. Wayne (Laurie's husband) was at a meeting and did show up to help us load the last load and a half. We just "rocked" yesterday, even tho we had to put up with one very crabby truck driver.....at least the other 4 were very good.

All the snow we had yesterday is already melted.....YEAH! We were supposed to get our last 1000 pigs in today but has been postponed because they are coming out of Iowa and they are flooding down there...the trucks couldn't even get through to get to the pigs.

I'm wondering how many pigs that is total. My family complains at how much work 27 horses is, I can't even imagine with thousands of pigs.

Glad it all went well. That's a LOT of pigs!! At least the time went fast. And yeah for the snow being gone! Hopefully we won't get what they are forecasting for Thursday/Friday.

Love the title of this post!!! :)

Back before kids, I was on my way to work and was following a school bus. I could see there were no feet and then I noticed no seats. When I pulled up behind it at a stop sign, I realized it was a farmer using it to haul little piggies - they got smashed up against the back glass emergency door - I was laughing the whole way to work - it was so cute and so funny (Oh, and I was on my way to work at school, LOL!!)

Glad that you had so much fun. It does make time go faster and the job easier if you can take time to laugh.
Have a Happy Easter.

Sounds like great fun. I have been on the floor a few times. Once had to sprip to get into the truck. Those were the days!!! Sorry to read about the flooding in Iowa.

Love and Hugs,
Joyce
