Baccalaureate

Last night the Baccalaureate services were held for the graduating class of 2008. The pastor had a wonderful sermon and the music that was performed was awesome. We are down to less than a week until Jeremy graduates from High School. So far I have not cried....I am afraid I am really going to lose it at graduation. One part of the graduation service is when the graduates all bring their mothers a rose while music is played, usually some slow tear jerking song.....I have a feeling I will not be able to get through that without a few tears.

It will be a long, busy week getting ready for graduation.....please pray that I keep my sanity and composure during this time.

Enjoy this week, and I hope you get to treasure every little moment with Jeremy. I can't imagine...but it will happen to me in four, very short years.

You have a busy week ahead of you!!
Yesterday in church they had all of the graduates from the congregation come up with their parents. The pastor presented each graduate with a quilt that the ladies from the church made. Then they blessed the quilts, etc. It was really neat!

I'll be praying that you enjoy every single moment of this week. Be sure to keep your camera close by so you can capture all the little sweet moments as well as the big momentous ones.

You and your son are entering a brand new chapter of life and there is much to celebrate - and worry about. This is the time you have been preparing him for and now he is ready to fly. You will still be "the wind beneath his wings" and you will lift him back up and encourage him to fly further and stronger. But he will always be your son - a most special man in your life. Treasure every single moment!

P.S. Our son is 31 - and I know of what I speak! I've watched him graduate from high school, earn 2 university degrees and now prepare to write his professional engineering exam. I probably still have a wedding to get through one day - and that will be another whole episode. Thank you for letting me ramble and offer a little advice :)) ((( HUGS )))

ROFL!!!! Poor Kristi just e-mailed me and is so miserable. The peoples house we were at had cats. I remembered that she was allergic to them and asked if she would be ok. She thought she would and did okay until we went into the basement to play suffleboard and got miserable. She said that she took lots of meds and almost had Bryon take her to the hospital this morning. Poor thing. I feel horrible now and wish there was something I could do to make her feel better.

These are emotional times, no doubt. I'm sure I'll go through this when Just Son graduates from high school.

I'm getting excited for your son.

Make all memories you want. This is a wonderful time and a sad one at the same time. You will smile and you will cry and you will laugh. You will love the future also. I will be praying for you during this time.
