8 Random Things

Kitty asked for volunteers, so here goes....

1. I graduated from a Technical School in Dental Assisting but have never worked in that field.

2. I shattered my left thumb playing softball when I was 17 and had my 1st surgery then...had to have pins put in and cast it.

3. I tore my ACL and had to have it reconstructed 2 years ago. I was playing basketball at the time (sports and injuries seem to be a theme in my family).

4. My dad died when I was in high school. He was 37 years old and had a congenital heart defect (unknown). Both my kids have inherited the defect (the good news is....we know and can monitor them).

5. I had a miscarriage (at 3 months), between my 2 kids and still think about that baby today.

6. I quit smoking 5 years ago and am very proud of that accomplishment.

7. I love to make homemade bread (not in a bread machine) and am pretty good at it too.

8. I hate to dress up...I don't even own a dress or skirt right now. I love to wear shorts or blue jeans...t-shirts and hoodies....flip flops or tennis shoes.

I'm not into forcibly tagging so if anyone is interested in doing this... I tag you!

1. Working on a farm with your hubby is probably more fun anyway.
2. Ouch!! I have a softball game tonight - I'll be careful where I put my fingers.
3. Been there, done that :)
4. I still remember that day. I can't imagine how that was, and is, for your family.
5. I had no idea...I'm so sorry to hear that.
6. Good for you!! You should be proud!!
7. You know where I live and can drop off a loaf anytime. ;)
8. For the record - I don't ever ENJOY it but I'll do it. I'd rather be in the casual clothes too.

Hi I found your site over at Cherish...the Word and it sounded interesting and it is! WOW that's a lot of pigs to take care of, do you have help outside of the family? You have nice looking kids and it sounds like they are a big help to you around the farm. We have horses that we just love and I finally hired someone to help clean the stalls every day for me. Yippee! I won't miss that job during the week! Stop by and say hi sometime.

Love reading the 8 random things. I am so sorry to learn about your dad and the loss of your baby. I can't imagine how difficult it must have been.

These were great answers!! I am also so sorry about the baby, and also your dad, both those losses must have been heartbreaking. But I am so glad the kids can now be monitored. Boy I wish I lived closer so I could have some of that delicious homemade bread, yummy!!

Bread making is something I really enjoy. I don't use a bread machine either.

Thanks for sharing more about your life. I am deeply sorry about the loss of your baby.

I loved reading all these things about yourself.

I was also in the Dental Assistant program....I was a dental assistant for about 9 years. Where did you go to school and which year?

I have a bread machine and like to bake bread. I don't use it as often as I should. I should use it more as it tastes so yummy.

I also love to wear casual clothes.
