Horsin' Around

I was lucky enough to watch my nieces compete in the County 4-H Horse Show on Tuesday. They work really hard all summer going to Rodeos all over the state so it was fun getting to see them compete.Kennedy...she got purple ribbons in all the events that she participated in.
Kennedy mastering the Poles.
Kassidy...going through the gate for Trail.
Kassidy....she got bucked off her horse twice this day and sprained her wrist pretty bad but was a trooper and got back on and finished all her events.

I'm not an animal lover...but I DO like riding on horses! How fun!
My little sister is showing her cattle in a couple weeks at the county fair. I'm super excited to go and watch her. In MN you have to complete 3rd grade before you can show, so this is her first year!!

What great pictures! I wish I had learned how to do poles, barrels and that type of thing instead of just walk, trot and canter. Oh I did do trail class with one of my horses and that was fun.

You are such an awesome Aunt to support your nieces and nephews the way you do!
Kassidy and Kennedy look like pros! They are true cowgirls.

That looks like fun! And I love that her name is Kennedy. That is one of our family last names. Hope you're having a wonderful summer and I'm so glad you liked the poem and want to pass it on to your son.
