Jobless

Ok, I am not totally jobless but I have decided to resign as daytime waitress at the "Bullpen" restaurant where I have worked part time for the last year. I loved my job and enjoyed interacting with the customers, especially the seniors that I served the 60's Plus meals to.

After much discussion and with both kids gone to college, Chad and I decided that I was needed here on the farm much more. It was a hard decision to come to but I do realize that my job was creating more stress on Chad and the farm (and me on occasion) than I realized. You see, I have been at home raising kids and helping on the farm for the last 19 years and although I do enjoy being home, I thought I was missing out on something. I will always treasure my time I spent working off the farm and they have asked me to fill in when I am not crazy busy on the farm (those of you who farm, know that is rarely). Anyway, I am now back to being full-time Frazzled Farm Wife again.

I am sure that hubs will like having you there full time.
I wish I could quit work and stay home.
Have a great weekend.

I'm sure it was a wise decision.

I know it's a tough decision, but family always comes first. And if your family needs you at home, rather than out in the workforce at this time, that's the right decision in my book.

I think it would be hard to work off the farm. Hope you are doing well. Our harvest is SLOW going with all the rain....it just keeps raining...and raining!

I'm pretty sure that jobless doesn't fit. LOL YOu've traded one job for another and I'm afraid the new/old one is much bigger than the waitress one. Good luck.

I hear ya sister! When the kids grow up and leave the farm it leaves you literally short handed tryin' to do it all...just the two of ya. I retired from teaching to be here and do just that and am so glad I did.

I pray that you are at peace and enjoy your decision.

God bless ya!!! :o)
